Amador County USD/COE Board of Trustees Vision Statement:

Amador County Public Schools, in partnership with our community, will graduate students who have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed and excel in higher education, careers, society and life. This vision will be achieved by adhering to rigorous academic standards, high expectations, a comprehensive curriculum, and a positive school climate.

SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS (pdf) PRESS RELEASE At a Special Meeting on March 14, the Governing Board interviewed four applicants to complete the term of Lynnette Lipp who resigned in January to move to Southern California. Fortunately a strong field of candidates was available and Gwendolyn K. Christeson was selected by the end of the morning. Mrs. Christeson and her husband reside in Pioneer where their three children attend Pioneer Elementary School. The Governing Board was seeking a colleague that would be able to assist in defining and resolving issues facing Amador County Schools. The Board believes that it has found this individual in Mrs. Christeson who is the owner of The Estate Planning Law Center in Historic Downtown Jackson. Mrs. Christeson is described by community members as flexible and receptive to change while maintaining a positive and effective working relationship with others. She has gained the reputation of analyzing situations accurately while communicating clearly and concisely. Mrs. Christeson will serve until November, 2014.

The Amador County Governing Board generally meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. Open Session typically begins at 6:30 p.m. Closed Session begins at 5:30 p.m. Meetings are held in the Amador County Administration Building, 810 Court Street, Jackson, unless otherwise posted.

Agendas and supporting documents will be available for public viewing three days prior to the Board meeting. Agenda items will be discussed in order agreed.

The Governing Board requests that individuals who would like to address the Governing Board during Public Comments or on an item on the agenda fill out “Board Meeting Speaker Card” and turn it into the Secretary of the Board prior to the agenda item.
