2019 SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
The preschool office will be open for enrollment information and scheduling appointments: July 9-11 9 am – 1 pm July 16-18 9 am -1 pm July 24 – school year 8 am – 5 pm
Enrollment packets for 2019-20 will be available beginning March 11 at the following sites:
*Online *Elementary School Offices *Preschool Classrooms *District Office at 217 Rex Ave., Jackson After completing the packet and including the required additional information, families can call the Director’s office at 257-5338 to schedule an enrollment appointment. Appointments can be made anytime after April 16. Beginning July, 1, 2019, there will be significant changes to the eligibility requirements: 1. Eligibility income caps will be increased to the 85% of the State Median Income, replacing the 70% cap. 2. A child will be age eligible if they turn 3 or 4 years of age by December 1, not September 1. Amador County State Preschool Program is a State-subsidized half-day program at four sites in the county. Our preschool mission is to provide highly qualified learning experiences to eligible three- and four-year olds with a core curriculum that is culturally, developmentally and linguistically appropriate. Snack/meals are provided and there are several field trips during the year to enhance the classroom learning.
We are currently incorporating the STEAM curriculum model (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) into our lessons in best preparing our students for a successful kindergarten and elementary school future.

Financial Eligibility Criteria
You can scroll down to see monthly and annual income caps. Priority is given to the lowest income families at or below the income cap. We can accept accept 10% of our enrollment for families who make 15% over the cap per family size. These caps are also included. Please call the Preschool Office for information on availability of spaces for families in the 15% overage category.
