Dr. Amy L. Slavensky, Superintendent of Schools
Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, Colleagues & Community Partners,
In the words of William Arthur Ward, “Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” It has been my joy and pleasure to serve in our wonderful community for nearly two years. Each day, I experience transformative moments of gratitude as I visit schools and classrooms and see our amazing students, teachers and staff in action. Ours is truly a wonderful community. Just take a look at our Facebook page from time to time and you will see the joy of accomplishment in so many faces and improvement projects!
As we move into and through the fall season, let’s all take time to experience the season and see the colors and gifts so evident in our foothills, creeks, and rivers, and also in one another. We truly are a caring and gifted community of individuals, collaborative groups, and school teams. Let’s join arms and make a difference once again for and with every student.
As we venture forth, let’s also remember these 3 messages. “Take it easy” and take care of yourself in order to better take care of others. Collaborate with one another and extend a helping hand before jumping to criticism. Embrace your hopes and dreams for and with students.
Thank you for your ongoing support for the sake of all students as we continue to prepare, support, and inspire each student!
