The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

FACT - Feeding Amador County Together

Feeding Amador County Together (FACT) is here to help connect families with local food pantries, meal services, and other nutrition resources to ensure no one goes without access to healthy food. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier Amador County where everyone has access to healthy food options!

Grief Support Resources

If you or your child is struggling with grief, there are programs throughout the county that may help! Hospice of Amador & Calaveras has created a list of providers and the key resources that they offer. It also lists the website and phone numbers. The list is attached as a PDF to this message.

School Board Updates

Student Board Members

Our newest student board member was sworn in at the September 17 board meeting! Claire Kay, representing Argonaut High School, has officially begun her two-year term as a student board member. She joins returning student board member Payton Patterson, who represents Amador High School.
The next School Board meeting will take place on October 8, 2025, at the Jackson City Hall Civic Center, located at 33 Broadway in Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.
Please note this change of meeting location due to the County Board Chambers being unavailable.
