District News & Announcements

School Consolidation & Consolidation Information Hub Update

School consolidation in Amador County has been a complex, multi-year effort, and we recognize the community’s patience and engagement throughout this process.

On Wednesday, the Board took action to rescind the 2023 plan and initiate an evaluation of a new consolidation model. At this time, we are taking a fresh approach that better reflects our current enrollment, community needs, and long-term financial considerations.

As a part of this approach and new model, we have completed a major overhaul of the Consolidation Information Hub on our website. We encourage you to review the updated page for the most up-to-date information on the proposed consolidation model, which includes a county-wide junior high for grades 7-9 and a county-wide high school for grades 10-12.
