Back To School Resources

A green banner with the text 'BACK TO SCHOOL GUIDE' and a circular logo.

Our website includes year-round information about academics, support services, and resources. Schools also provide specific communication to families just before the school year begins.

Below is information that you may find especially helpful as you prepare for a new school year. This information is updated each summer as your official Back to School Guide and can be referenced throughout the year.

The first day of the 2026-2027 school year is Wednesday, August 12

  • The link below will take you to the 2026-27 School Calendar webpage, which includes the School Year Calendar and the Secondary Schools A/B Day Schedule.

    2026-2027 School Year Calendar

First Day of School: Wednesday, August 12, 2026

Last Day of School: Friday, June 4, 2027

  • For families whose students will be riding the school bus to and/or from school, please read the important information below.

If we are short on drivers, a route may run late or be combined with another route. This may result in minor delays, but our goal is to continue providing transportation whenever possible rather than canceling service.

Families will be notified of delays, route combinations, or schedule changes through the EZ Arrival App.

    Please make sure you have:

    • Downloaded the EZ Arrival App
    • Provided the Transportation Department with the information needed to connect your student to the correct route
    • Reviewed the attached route schedule for current pick-up and drop-off times

If route times are updated or changed, you will receive a notification through the app.

For help connecting your student to the EZ Arrival App, please contact the Transportation Department.

For more information about our Transportation Department, including bus stop and route information, please visit the Transportation webpage:

  • Amador County Unified School District uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to log in to their accounts, download the mobile app, and update their preferences for when and how they are notified.

Click here to see more information about ParentSquare.

ACUSD has several communication channels as well as a Weekly Community Newsletter, which is sent out every Friday via ParentSquare.

Click here for more information about ACUSD Communications.

  • School Meals are provided by our Nutrition Services Team.

The Nutrition Services team is made up of food and nutrition professionals dedicated to student health, well-being, and learning. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Amador County Unified School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. All Amador County district schools will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, and all students enrolled in on-campus classes will receive a FREE breakfast and lunch. This means that federal meal applications will not be required.

School Menus for breakfast and lunch are available on our Nutrition Services webpage.

  • Our district observes early-release Wednesdays.

Individual bell schedules are available in the "Our School" section of each website.

  • ACUSD welcomes parent volunteers!

To become a parent volunteer, please visit the Parent Volunteer Webpage and follow the instructions listed.

How to use Aeries Online Enrollment:

For more information on using the Parent Portal, click here.

  • Parent Data Confirmation opens on August 3 and is required annually from each family.
